1 egg white, if desired for extra volume
½ cup milk or cream
½ cup flour
¼ tsp. salt
This is a wonderful pastry type batter that can be poured over meats and stews to turn an ordinary dish into a warm,
country pie. Try it over pork cubes with apple chunks.
Preheat Oven To: 425
Beat egg and egg white – Blend in milk. Stir in flour and salt until moist. Beat 1 min.
Preheat oven to 425. Pour batter into hot dishes on top of almost any meat or stew. Bake 20 min. Reduce oven to 350 and bake
for 15 – 20 mins more.
