cup butter

1/3 cup icing sugar

1 cups flour

1/4  Tsp. salt

Blend ingredients to make a soft dough.  Pat into whatever pan suits your fancy.  Prick well.  Bake in 350 degree oven for 15 – 20 minutes.

Nope.  I could never master pastry.  This recipe is for those who join me in this shortcoming.  You can use this crust for anything.  Use it just like piecrust.  Use it for the bottom of a cheesecake, cherry pie or a wonderful fruit flan.  There's no trick to it.  Just resounding success every time.  So... eat this Ms. Crocker!

Preheat Oven To: 350

Yield:  One 9" crust
