3 egg whites
1 pound powdered sugar (icing sugar)
½ tsp. cream of tartar
Beat egg whites. Beat in sugar and cream of tartar. Spread it on a cake or pipe it on with a pastry bag or a plastic bag with a hole cut in one corner.
This is the hard icing that is used for wedding cakes and gingerbread houses. You can form it into snowflake shapes and let it
dry to make Christmas ornaments. It's just fun stuff!
