¼ cup butter

½ lb fresh mushrooms – cut up

1 lb. chicken livers

1 tsp. garlic salt

1 tsp. paprika

1/3 cup chopped green onion

½ cup dry white wine

Pinch of dill weed

Dash of Tabasco sauce

½ cup soft butter

Salt

 

Makes: 3 cups

Serve With: Warm Bread, crackers and bread sticks

 
Heat ¼ cup butter, add mushrooms, livers, garlic, paprika and onions.  Cook gently, stirring constantly for 5 minutes.

Add wine, dill and Tabasco.  Cover tightly and simmer 10 minutes.

Cool and whirl in blender or food processor until smooth.  Blend in ½ cup butter and whirl until mixed. 

Put into serving bowls and chill several hours.
