c butter

1 cup whipping cream

cup grated Parmesan cheese

tsp. salt

Dash of pepper

2 tbsp. snipped parsley

Options

Thinly sliced black forest ham

Crab meat

Snipped green onions or chives

Sliced black olives

I love fettuccine Alfredo, I often order it when I'm in a restaurant.  This is my version.  It's the whole fat one.  I do have a low fat version (See Low Fat Alfredo Sauce) that you can eat with less guilt but sometimes, you just have to splurge on a really rich dinner.

Serves:  4

Serve With:  Dry red or white wine and fresh white baguette or home made style bread.

 

In small saucepan, over low heat, melt butter.  Add whipping cream and stir until hot but not boiling (if it boils it will curdle). Remove from heat and add cheese and seasonings.  Stir well

Serve over fettuccine noodles or tortellini
