Curried Nan with Yogurt Dip

4 slices Nan – white or whole wheat

2 tbsp. pate or liver paste

Liberal sprinkling of ground cumin and ground coriander

Yogurt Dip

1/2 cucumber – chopped fine

1 cup plain yogurt – no fat is good.

 

This is a wonderful, full flavoured munchy that is actually good for you.  I really felt like warm, spicy bread one day and up popped the idea for this recipe.  Use whole wheat Nan whenever possible.  It's not only great at parties or before a curry dinner, but it makes a wonderful lunch all on its own.

Preheat Oven To:  Broil

Serves: 2 - 4

Serve With: White wine

Spread Nan sparsely with pate and sprinkle with cumin and coriander.  Toast in the toaster oven or broil for a few minutes until the top is golden brown.  Cut into 8 wedges.

Mix cucumber and yogurt together and serve in a dipping bowl with the Nan arranged around the perimeter.
