Chocolate Cake

1 ½ cup sugar

½ cup cocoa

1 ¾ cup flour

1 ½ tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. salt

½ cup shortening

1 ½ cup buttermilk (or whatever milk is around)

2 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla

This is an awesome, moist, chocolate cake.  I like to make it in a bundt pan and drizzle it with melted chocolate chips with a little orange rind added.  The bundt pan is great because you can fill the hole in the middle with fresh flowers and everyone thinks you spent all day in the kitchen, just for them. Preheat Oven To: 350
