Butt pork roast, roasting chicken or duck
1 tsp. salt
¼ tsp. Five spices powder
1 tsp. Hoi Sin sauce or 2 tsp. brown sugar
Cut slashes into pork or chicken to lessen cooking time. Mix all other ingredients together to make a paste the consistency of catsup. Pat the paste all over the meat and roast on
a rack at 400 degrees with a little water in the bottom of the pan for moisture. Turn after first side is brown.
